Scott founded JFT in 2013 when he saw there was a need in the nuclear industry for a specialized equipment provider with a results-focused approach to solving complex problem sets. Scott’s background includes roles in project management, engineering management, technology development, business development, and building technology businesses in the federal and utility space. He commands a broad network of professionals in the industry both within the government (Department of Energy) and within the prime contractor community, built over his years of productive working relationships tackling these problems with the talent in the industry.

Scott enjoys playing basketball with his buddies each week and fitting in a round of golf every now and then.

Shannon was the first member to join the JFT team, as JFT’s VP of Technology he is responsible for overseeing JFT’s engineering and technology team. Shannon is a licensed engineer with nearly two decades of engineering and management experience in highly regulated and hazardous -environments. He has successfully led projects at all major DOE sites, many commercial nuclear projects, as well as for Sellafield, UKAEA, and other foreign regulators. Shannon’s specialty is seeing through the complexity and delivering simplicity using pragmatic and bespoke solutions on tight deadlines with an eye for balancing technical solutions with necessary commercial and schedule constraints.

Shannon fills his free time with tinkering and white-water rafting. 

Pete leads JFT’s project management and production teams as our VP of Delivery. He has over 20 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and complex equipment fabrication management for the nuclear, aerospace, DOD, carbon negative, oil and gas, micro-brewery, and automotive industries. Pete has overseen the successful deployment and integration of remote solutions in a global capacity, including reactor decommissioning, nuclear laboratory equipment, waste assay and immobilization, nuclear waste treatment and processing and next generation nuclear power generation. Pete brings over 20 years of CNC manufacturing experience from various commercial disciplines, he was trained in manufacturing working on tooling technology used exclusively in Porsche automotive transmissions and Navy carrier helicopter rotor assemblies. Pete is recognized for managing his team and projects with clarity and courage; consistently achieving on time results, cross functional team interfacing, and subcontract management. Pete built JFTs Project Management Office (PMO) to focus on allowing the company to “see the end from the beginning” on our challenging projects.

Pete is an avid Porsche aficionado, recreational motorsports enthusiast, and craft beer/wine connoisseur, in that order.

 

Clarice joined JFT in 2019 and leads the accounting, H/R, and IT teams in the company. She is a CPA with over 10 years of experience overseeing all company accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance. Her broad background in tax, federal accounting, and financial management for technical entities has given her an eye for understanding how JFT’s value is represented in our financial reporting. As our VP, Controller, she is responsible for financial reporting, managing the accounting/HR team, and preserving the company's financial health. Her specialty is developing forward-looking tools that help the members of the team to understand performance indicators.

Clarice values balance in life, spending time gardening, practicing Pilates, raising children, and enjoying frequent sunny vacations to recharge and refocus.

Richard is JFT’s VP of ESH&Q and is responsible for overseeing JFT’s quality and safety team while also taking JFT’s value to the commercial nuclear market. Richard joined JFT with a wealth of knowledge in quality, commercial-grade dedication, and regulatory framework stemming from his 30 years in the nuclear industry. He is an expert in NQA-1 Commercial Grade Dedication and 10CFR50 Appendix B. Throughout his career he has provided technical oversight and supervision for Engineering and Testing personnel to facilitate the successful completion of numerous Mechanical and Electronic Manufacturing, Electrical, Electrical Controls and Switchgear repair, refurbishment and retesting efforts and projects. Richard’s background with the U.S. Navy and his multiple degrees in Physics from the University of Maryland provide the needed technical competency to support JFT’s challenging projects. Richard is a member of both ASME and IEEE.

Richard is an avid (fanatical!) road cyclist, and all that entails... If you know, you know. 

Dustin leads our talented manufacturing team and has over 20 years of fabrication and shop management experience. His extensive experience in ISO 9001 and NQA-1 quality environments ensures only quality products are produced in our shop and documentation is followed, completed, and simply made part of the daily process. His experience in fabricating equipment for nuclear facilities is invaluable as our project teams produce equipment for sensitive environments. Dustin oversees all fabrication and provides guidance when issues are encountered.

Dustin enjoys spending time with family and friends in the great outdoors.

Nick joined JFT as Engineering Manager in 2024 to lead and grow our engineering team. He has over 18 years of design and integration experience with a career in aerospace specializing in advanced hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and hydro-electric mechanical systems. His experience as an entrepreneur and business owner gives him the tools needed to scale JFT’s engineering team by developing and mentoring technical leaders and competent specialists.

Nick enjoys backcountry motorsports, wrenching on cars, and continually dreams of flying.
