JFT was founded in 2013 by a group of nuclear professionals who wanted to deliver specialty equipment to the nuclear industry differently.

The team joined up with James Fisher & Sons plc providing access to an international market as well as the heritage and breadth of the James Fisher & Sons portfolio of companies and capabilities. With a focus towards the customer and a pragmatic eye guiding the approach, JFT has grown from a core team of engineers designing solutions to a full service nuclear supplier known for delivering the most challenging engineered equipment projects for the industry today. JFT is majority-owned and controlled by local management allowing our team to be responsive to customer and market demands as well as offer our broad capabilities to the market as a US Small Business.
